Individual Guard Moves Drill #1

The player starts with a ball in the triple threat position at the 3 point line facing the basket. They make a jab fake to the right and then do a hard crossover move to the left, finishing with a layup. Repeat 8-10 times before switching sides of the floor.

No Look Ball Drop

Hold the ball behind your head. Drop the ball and bring your hand around front, clap once and reach back around behind and catch the ball before it hits the ground. You have to be quick!

Touch, Touch, Touch

Hold the ball between your legs – both hands in front of you. Touch the ball once with your right hand in front, once with your left hand in front, once with your right hand behind your legs, and once with your left hand behind your legs. Continue repeating as fast as possible. The goal [...]

Catch, Catch, Catch

Hold the ball between your legs – one hand in front of you and one hand behind. Switch hand positions quickly, so the ball never hits the floor (If you need to let it bounce as you learn the drill and pick up speed, this is fine too). Repeat.

Scissors Drill

Players Needed: 1 Place your left foot ahead of your right and bounce the ball through your legs to your other hand. Jump to switch your feet position (now right foot should be ahead) and bounce the ball back through your legs to your waiting hand. Repeat.

Around the World Dribbling

Players Needed: 1 Circle the ball first around your head, then around your waist and finally around both knees. Finish by going around first one leg, then the other. Repeat.
