Cooks Drill

Players needed: 2

The cooks drill is great for taking contact while making a strong move to the basket.

  • Have a teammate, coach, parent or friend hold a punching bag or some other soft object (i.e. pillow)
  • Start with the ball at one side of the free throw line
  • Take a couple hard dribbles to the rim
  • Power up and take a strong layup
  • As you go up the person will hit you with the soft object
  • Repeat until you make 10 shots
