Distance Shooting Drill

Players needed: 1

A shooting drill that helps you find your range on the court.

  • Start with muscle memory shooting from the middle of the rim – shoot 10 shots.
  • After you shoot 10 shots, step back one step and shoot another 10 shots.
  • If you make 6/10 then step back a step.  If you don’t make 6 out of 10 then shoot another 10 shots from the same spot.
  • If you don’t make 60% twice then you will start over at the first spot.
  • The goal is to get as farther away as possible (your range).
  • After you miss 6 out of 10 shots three times, the drill/game is over.
